Free ssl certificate on Heroku

1. On Namecheap:

   • Buy your domain.

2. On Heroku:

   • Add your custom domain.
   • Copy the DNS target received.

3. On Cloudflare:

   • Enter the name of the domain you want Cloudflare to manage on "Add a site".
   • Follow the guided walkthrough.
   • Make sure to complete the (optional) additional setup, and select full ssl.
   • In the DNS management, create a CNAME pointing to the DNS target received from Heroku.

4. On Namecheap:

   • Add the custom domains received from Cloudflare, in my case:
     • alex.ns.cloudflare.com
     • malavika.ns.cloudflare.com

5. Wait until the domain is active on Cloudflare's side. It took me about 10 minutes, but it can go up to 48 hours as per the documentation.
